photo-1433936593718-6537b993aa4fIt’s June, already? So soon? Well, summer is here whether were ready or not. Here on the east coast, we are experiencing mixed weather conditions. One day it’s a crop top and high waist shorts kind of day. Next, we’re breaking back out our leather boomers and, in my case my military inspired or Dr Marten boots. The best thing about this weather is that you can play around with fashion. You can take advantage and utilizing your fall loves, mixed in with your to die for summer sensations!

Once the weather settles in, we can move to something much more important, SUMMER TRENDS!

If you don’t know what’s trending right now, you have basically been living under a rock a season! Fortunately, I am here to keep you posted on what’s hot this summer.

Think Cher, wide leg pants, lace, floral, boho and transparent. You’ve guessed it the 70’s is back! I am actually excited about this trend! Don’t get me wrong, I live for a skinny trouser however, wide leg paints are so fun and retro! I think it will be really cool to see how the new age generation will put a spin on the once funky disco threads.

When I think of the 70’s, the first store that comes to mind is Free People.

Available at www.Freepeople.com If you are afraid to go full-blown hippie, try a more subtle approach on the 70’s trend.

Stores like Anthropologie, will offer a more tone-downed, and mature, spin on the 70’s boho trend.

Available at www.Anthropologie.com

If you are really channeling your inner hippie, and you’re not afraid to go FULL BLOWN hippie, (like myself J) Then stores like Topshop is the place for you! Topshop is everything Hippie from lace crop tops, high-waist distressed denim, A-lined dresses and anything else you can think about that lived in the 70’s.

Topshop serves disco-hippie 365 days of the year!

Available at www.TopShop.com

If all fails, and your just not feeling any of the disco era clothing, you can channel your inner hippie through a simple boho style dress, or just wear 70,s inspired accessories. Like, clogs, fedora hats, cat-eyed sunnies, or a simple scarf.
