Coldplay releases brand new music video, featuring the Queen Bee herself, ‘HYMM For The Weekend’. The video was recorded in Mumbai, India. Beyoncé channels an indian goddess dressed in traditional garments with henna tattoos and Hathphool jewelry on her hands. The Hathpool consists of a Kundan-set flower-encrusted bracelet with stone-set chains leading to another flower on the back of the palm. In other scenes you can see her in front of colorful and vibrant flower wall, where she channels her inner Beyoncé, wearing a lace and sequence beaded form-fitting dress. Her look would not be complete without a golden crown decorated with colorful silk flowers, a tribute to vibrant and colorful indian culture.
According to MTV, “Hymn for the Weekend” debuted on Annie Mac’s BBC radio show Monday (Nov. 30), and Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman dialed in after the song aired to talk about his brush with royalty.
According to Berryman, Chris Martin originally wanted the song to be a party jam with lyrics like “drinks on me, drinks on me,” but his band mates didn’t think that would go over too well with their fan base.
“Then the whole story of the song changed and then he asked Beyoncé to sing on it, and she very kindly said she would,” Berryman said. “It was amazing. She came in, she did her thing. She’s unbelievably professional. I think she was in and out in five minutes. And we’re just so blessed to have her sing on one of our songs.”
