Working-Moms everywhere spoke, and finally Barbie listened. Mattel the creator of Barbie, has extended the line to include 3 new dolls, Curvy, Tall and Petite. This decision came after the release of the ‘Lammily Doll‘ that welcomed the diversity in the shape of a woman. A real woman that is. Say goodbye to the stick figure Barbie, and open your homes to the Evolution of Barbie that recognizes that women come in different shapes and sizes, and yes it is ok.
The Barbie Dolls will be released in stores Nationwide by March 1st, however they are available online at Barbie.com.
Mattel announcement came Thursday, According to CNN Reports, Tania Missad, director of consumer insights for the doll line made an official statement say, “We have to let girls know it doesn’t matter what shape you come in, that anything is possible.”
The New Curvy Barbie can be found on the front cover of February 2016 issue of Times Magazine. With the title “Now can we stop talking about my body? What Barbie’s new shape says about American beauty.”
